Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys,

Looking at buying a road bike just for my own use to improve my fitness and as an alternative to other cardio work.

Was on the Halfords website and they had a special edition carrera road bike 220 euro off but is sold out nationwide. The next bike up is the Virtuso. Anyone have any experience of this bike and does it offer value for money at 440 euro? (liable for 40% tax rite off with bike to work scheme).

Any feedback would be gratefully received.

Have a look at my thread below where I compared it with the more expensive Vanquish (€660). Also see in here various links to reviews - they are v.positive

Both bikes are good, but my money would go on the Vanquish - even at a 50% premium. 'specially if Biffo is giving you back some of your hard-earned on the BTW scheme.

yes they do. Unless your company has some strange restrictions(which is entirely possible).

What list is this? Unless the employer imposes a restriction, certainly any bike shop in Ireland at least should be eligible, there's certainly no list of approved shops from the govt point of view
