Depending on your age theres a drama school called performing arts school galway who have classes every saturday. They do 2 shows a year as well as international dance and acting exams. if you'd like more info about the group fel free to ask, personally PASG is a brilliant group but its also only open to people ages between 6 and 20 years old.

Well you could always ring them up as there are some people there that are over 21

You're over 21? Well the Youth theatre is the place to go then.. They audition every September. You can contact them through the Arts centre or through their website http://www.galwayartscentre.ie/galway-youth-theatre.html.

    Hi Thomas, just saw this.

+1 for GYT - don't know what the cut off age is for 'youth' though. Dublin Youth Theatre used to be 22

Spontaneous Theatre People run Improv Workshops and do Theatre Shows, they currently are running some at Róisin Dubh. The August/current ones are are booked out though(I know this for a fact;)), but they will be doing more.
If you pop them an email to be on their mailing list, they can contact you about the next session, and if they are holding any auditions.

The Spontaneous Theatre People have a regular improvisational lab for actors, but also run day/weekend workshops on demand for all sorts of folks, corporate, theatrical and absolute beginners alike. They specialise in Improvisational Theatre Work, but also facilitate team building, devising and improv for writers.
    Their facebook pages is facebook.com/spontaneoustheatre

There's a lot of great stuff on in Galway including longer running classes, one offs and regular meetups. All depends what you are into. I'd say there's probably of workshops on during the Fringe Festival too. Good luck if you're still looking!
