    Hereford Boy 2pts @ 9/1 Bet365

Career best needed but Spencer is 1/1 on him and that came over course an distance. Two confirmed front runners should ideally set it up for the closers and Hereford Boy showed some level of form last time and is worth a bet at9/1

    Eastern Gift 2pts ew @ 16/1

Excuses last time when clipping heels and eased. Been in good heart lately and baeten by Black Coffee at Wolves and that on has gone up 10lbs since. Price is too big and his consistency makes the each way viable even though 7 runners is off putting

Was all over Twice over until I saw his draw. Thats the only reason his price was so big.

    Doncaster 2.10

    Go Amwell 1pt @ 12/1 Ladbrokes

Always liked the look of him and was tempted to back him last time. He goes on any ground, a decent jockey on board, stable going ok (winner on the flat), fair price and appreciates a flat enough track.

    Newbury 3.35

    Karky Schultz 1pt @ 9/1 PP

Disgusted when he won last time at the price he was. I earmarked him for a race after his previous run and let him slip through. I still think hes in with a good chance here because hes clearly in good form and knows how to battle.

    Imperial Cup

    Pateese 1pt ew @ 20/1 (1/4 Odds, 5 Places)

Dickie does 10st2 for this ride and he performed well enough last week that he is over priced for this. Via Galilei beat him then and heads the market but what ever he did then doesn't warrant the 13pt differences in prices.

    Supreme Novices

    Rathlin 2pts ew @ 66/1 StanJames (1/4 Odds, 3 Places)

Really like this horse. He's done all his running on heavy ground but his best performances have come on decent ground. He could be under rated due to his form on the ground in Ireland. He ran very close to Bobby Ewing in a 2 1/2 mile PTP on GF ground. Bobby Ewing is a 147 rated hurdler who beat Menorah but hasn't been seen in quite a while. He looks a good horse. Rathlin must be better than the market suggests.

Philip Rothwell hasn't got a great record at Cheltenham (0/16 Last 5 years) but this horse looks better than many he sent over. He reportedly scoped badly after his Clonmel race when Rothwells horses were all sick. He comes into this off a good win at Gowran and the ground will be just right for him.

    Price too big to ignore.

Finished a very decent 6th after travelling to the front. Jumps hurdles well for a chaser in waiting. Hell, he beat Zaidpour home!

No chance Swincombe Rock. Watching next time, see where they go and what distance they take. Real shot in the dark.

    Coral Cup

    Dantari 1pt ew @ 33/1 Bet365 (1/4 Odds, 5 Places)

He may be 7lbs short without the claimer taking 7 off but he ran very well last time and looks to be in top form. Trainer sounds very positive about him and the fact that Gary Moores son is on this and not his own is a little bit interesting. Jamie's been on 4 of his dads winners in the past 2 weeks and loads of placed horses. He seems to be in form. Dantari will act on the ground and get the trip and he can normally be relied upon to run a good race. With the extra place terms its feasible to go for a longer priced horse and if the same tactics are employed here as last time at Sandown then he should be able to sneak into a place at least.

    National Hunt Chase

    Chicago Grey 3pts @ 6/1 Ladbrokes

His form is outstanding in the context of this race. Sure he's had his jumping problems but those came when he was racing against RSA market leaders. Elliot is looking for his first festival winner and this looks like an ideal opportunity with Irelands best amateur jockey on. Byrnes is obviously to be feared but in the balance of things the price, relative form, track form and jockey make him a very attractive proposition.

    RSA Chase

    Bostons Angel 1pt @ 14/1 Bet365

Jessica Harrington's horse is a good battler and that stands him in good stead in a real battlers race. has good form through the Irish form over hurdles worked out well yesterday so I'm thinking that the Irish form over fences in novice races is being under rated. He was well beaten by Jessies Dream before but I read in the RP that Harrington has an excuse for that and the horse has comeout and won 2 Grade 1s since. He seems to be getting better as do all Jessica Haringtons and was a tailor made chaser. Reports are that he was a terrible hurdler but in him a perfect chaser has developed.

I can't have MD'H. Novice over fences and poor form coming into the race. Maybe he'll be better on better ground but his price is based on hype.
