Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

JSA Casual, not getting paid 1 week

    Hi everyone,

Im on JSA casual, working part time. I usually work 3 days a week (sometimes plus sundays), however, next week I am actually due to work 3 week days, Sunday and Bank holiday Monday. I wanted to double check if this meant I won't be paid my JSA that week, or does Bank Holiday Monday count as a Sunday??
I understand I probably won't be paid that week but what my main concern is that I will still be able to go back to normal with my 3 days plus JSA the following week? Will I be able to fill in my sheet and get paid the following week as normal even if I dont get a cheque in the middle?

    :)

have a look at this link
    http://www.welfare.ie/syndicatedcontent/en/irish-social-welfare-system/means-test-for-social-welfare-payments/work-and-jobseekers-allowance/

    especially this bit

    Public holidays

If you work part-time, your employer must pay you for the public holidays which you don’t work, as long as, you have worked at least 40 hours in the 5 weeks immediately before the week of the public holiday. More information on payment for public holidays, can be found in our document on Public holidays.

If you get paid for a public holiday and don't work that day, it will be included in the number of days worked to find your weekly means from work. Depending on your means, you can continue to get Jobseeker’s Allowance for the other days you do not work.
