What the hell are those things??

    I've been noticing these random silver pillars being erected around dublin city...


    I've seen 2 around Merrion Sq.

    1 at the bottom of Grafton St.

    1 at the top of Parnell Sq.

    and 1 on Leeson St.






    Theres no lights on them or anything....no signs, nothing!


    some of them have been covered with a green cover..


    Does anybody actually know what they do??

    maybe they are for cctv cameras which have yet to be installed, do they narrow towards the top?

    I was thinking they might have been some new form of speed camera because of the new 30mph limit within the city
