    Yeah, Im going into 3rd year of the course now. The first year is very broad and general, you will be studying things like networking and computer hardware as it is a common first year with people who applied for the networking and applications courses.
    As for the software side of things you will be learning the Java programming language.
    First year is easy enough as long as you attend the lectures regularly you should have no problem passing. :)
