Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    McDonagh
    Ward
    Stokes
    Mongan
    Rielly
    Murphy
    Furey........as in the ballad group.
Dunne ....as in the banjo player.
    Dempsey

Depends on what part of the country they originate.

If talking about the Joyces mention must be made of the Seoiges, the famous TV presenters who are travellers of a different kind.......doing TV stuff.$$$$$

Famous traveller towns include Rathkeale in Limerick and Tuam in Galway.

Nope, Joyce was done in Jacobs facotry, I think it was Yeats who was in Bolands, riling the volunteers up with a spiffing recite of "September 1913".

Off the top of my head, the only traveller named leader of 1916 was Thomas MacDonagh. He was far from a traveller though, probably one of, if not the most cultured leader of 1916.

Hah, ye're right about Joyce in Jacobs but it was Yeast in Bolands, after all, it was the Easter Rising!
