Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nope.. Kodachrome is, I think, K14 process film. It's a much more complicated chemical process than E6. (14-steps of chemistry?)

When I was working in a photolab back from 2001-2006, there were only 2-3 actual processing machines left in the world. Now there is apparently only one..and it's shutting down later this year.

E6 process is only 6 chemicals (7 if you include stabiliser.. and it can actually be done with just 4 including the stabiliser.. but I bet it fades more quickly or something like that done as a 3-step process.) I've worked with both 3-step and 7-step E6 processing before. (both done on Phototherm automated drum processors.. nice little machines.)

I do miss doing runs of film for folks. It's really kind of relaxing mixing up chemicals and such sometimes.

I shipped six rolls to Dwanes on Wednesday. The last of the Super 8 is going out after the weekend.

Yes, the end of an era.

    Kodachrome
You give us those nice bright colors
You give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world's a sunny day, oh yeah!
    I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So Mama, don't take my Kodachrome away
