Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Right, I'll be back in the country in August, so I am proposing Friday the 27th as a date for a good old fashioned BGRH beers.

    Venue to be confirmed.

    "Mines a guinness, thanks".

"Get some bacon fries in as well"

"What time is the jumbo platter arriving?"

This is the kind of thing I will be saying.

Sure he prolly had to go home, and make the tea, and peel the spuds for the dinner next day and leave them in the pot to steep, and soak the hairy bacon as it's wild salty and then bring in the washin', and make sure the clothes dry, and clean and folded, ready for tomorrow, and be sure the bins were in and the cat is out, and the dishes put away, and the fire damped down for the night, with the alarm clock settled.

    That's what I reckon.

Ah yes trout, you are quite correct but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find the pub if I can attend. Unlike somebody I know who was due to meet a few of us in a northerly location in June of last year but for some mysterious reason never showed up even though we were told he was on his way.

Tell me, are you still roaming the M50/M1/A1 looking for that pub?

Flummoxed, entirely flummoxed. I've no recall of last month, never mind last year ... but I will take yore word for it, and accept my slagging with good grace.

My new car doesn't have satnav, and I must confess ... I do miss it :(
