I had a thread a while back but i ended it after the premiership finished..

Made a small profit and have decided to give it a go again as i have been having a few winners lately and want to track how much i'm gaining or losing...
This time i will give explanations behind my bets incase anyone is going to be taking an interest....

Hope for a bit of luck and I should be ok :p

    Bank starting at 100pts

All bets done with Paddy Power..

Just looking through the cards now should have my selections for ascot up in a short while

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,079 ✭✭✭colly54

    3:15 Ascot

    Haatheq 6/1

All of its good runs have been on good ground and the swing in weight of 5 pounds gives it every chance of having a good run. Very good each way value in my opinion

    1 point e/w

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,079 ✭✭✭colly54

    Ascot 3.50

    Yaa Wayl 7/1

Failed to come outside the top 4 in all of its races (8)..
Been drawn in number 5 which shouldnt be a problem...

    2pts e/w

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,079 ✭✭✭colly54

    Ascot 4:25

    Cape Blanco 5/1

Won 5 of its last 6 races and was very impresive last time out at the Curragh.

Johhny Murtagh not on board which may have some impact on the odds been so high, but O'Donoghue is a good jockey in my opinion and will hopefully give it a good ride.

I really think it has great chance..

    4pts win

I would be biased in selecting the dublin match so ill leave that one out...

other 3 will be close in my opinion

have to say i fancy Cork, Down and Monaghan though...

I think Monaghan are huge at 11/8.
Was going to do that accum except with Sligo at 17/2...tricky call.

    Yeah it is tough alright....
Monaghan are big at that price but Kildare are a decent outfit ...
    Draw looks tempting 15/2

I think im going to wait till tomorrow and see what the latest team news is..

Might do that quad and back Monaghan on their own. Limerick at +4 at even money is tempting too.

I think louth at +4 is very tempting...
Dublin struggling to kill off teams this year

I have a feeling Cork could up it a notch tomorrow though

Best of luck Colly, I'll be shocked if Cape Blanco wins though. Hope the the thread goes well. :) But not Cape Blanco. :p

After looking at team news i have decided to go with this accumulator for the GAA today,

    Dublin 1/3
    Cork 1/4
    Sligo 5/4
    Monaghan 11/8

    2pts returns 17.81

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,079 ✭✭✭colly54

    Bank 88pts

    In Play 12pts

    return 6pt profit

Gaa bet was a loser, only Yaa Wayl placed

    Bank:96pts

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,079 ✭✭✭colly54

    Ascot 4:00

    Kings Masque 9/1

He has reached the first 3 on each of his last 7 runs and should have a good run today...

    1pt e/w

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,079 ✭✭✭colly54

    Ascot 4:35

    Ouster 9/1

Ouster came third behind Times Up and Bay Willow previously but struggled for room on the run in. He's weighted to get closer today.

    1pt e/w

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,079 ✭✭✭colly54

    Ascot 5:10

    Golden Destiny 20/1

Looks overpriced too me. Last two runs were not good but the last 3 over 5 furlongs he won. Hasn't been outside top 3 in all his runs over 5 furlongs.

    1pt e/w

    Bank is correct though...

    No luck today :(

    Bank: 90pts

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,079 ✭✭✭colly54

Going to go for a lucky 15 in Galway today..
All high priced horses with a good e/w chance so if two were to come in i would be in the money :D

    5:10 Tadgh 25/1
    5:45 Banna Man 14/1
    7:00 Mount Helicon 20/1
    8:05 Captains Dilemma 20/1

    .5pts e/w .... Total Stake 15pts

Tadgh last 2 runs were at this distance were he came 2nd and 5th respectively..He likes the ground today and should go well

Banna Man is another who likes the ground...Won his last outing over 2 miles and a furlong , so the distance shouldn't be a problem today..

Mount Helicon Top 3 in 6 of his last 7 runs, only race outside top 3 was over 20 furlongs which he seems to tire, should run well today

Captains Dilemma last outing was in october but came 2nd and had some energy left to push on...hopefully the absence helped him and can get a good run today :p

    5:30 Wolverhampton

    Love In The Park 14/1

Dropping down a class, he has won 3 out of 4 of his class 6 runs....Tom Eaves onboard who is a quality jockey in my opinion...

    2.5pts e/w
