Banning people for pointing out inconsistencies in moderation is not the sign of progressive moderation. It is Ceauşescuesq.

Not permitting the use of the results of google searches is not listed as a banning offense and seems a strange way to run a forum.

The material in question has been moderated on by Uncle Tom ??? and some other mod.

I am not bothered if I get banned full time, its just a sad day for openness transparency and honesty.

I can understand the need for reducing the risk of litigation al la the MCD debacle but not letting a company or product being mentioned is a bit extreme, particularly since it is restricted to one part of boards.

As an example, look at my query re advice on a band saw which had a number of links

We have an established Dispute Resolution Procedure, which can be found here. As per the procedure, please PM the mods or CMods, as appropriate. If you're not happy with the response come back to this thread and an admin will review the issue.
