Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Might suit anyone who has to do the parent thing on Sunday and want to get some miles in.

Myself and Gasco will be leaving from Dundrum at 7.30 to do this route

Best described as a "Handy Paced Semi-Intermediate Spin*" (to rob a phrase from Scien)

All welcome. We'll be the sleep deprived looking chaps on PXs.

    A "Handy Paced Semi-Intermediate Spin*"

Judging by the way the legs feel today, I think the description above falls someway short.

84k in 3.41, taking in Slaughter Hill / Sally Gap (at least I think we went over the SG somewhere amongst the clouds), the hardest spin in a long time. All done before 11.30 - not sure if I have ever had a longer Sunday.

Now I know why it's called Slaughter Hill :D

Was good fun. Despite the mist and headwind. Also my first time going up to Sally Gap from Roundwood.

Would be even more fun with a few more heads along (to hide behind in the wind). If anyone needs convincing the next time Gasco seems to have an endless supply of food in his jersey - Cola Bottle flavoured energy shots without which I would never have got home.

I'd be interested. Sunday mornings would suit me better than any other time of the week, so I am in the next time the two of you decide to give it a spin.

Good stuff. I won't be around next Sunday (post Kilkenny) but maybe Sunday the 7th.

Of course the distances we can manage will pale in comparison to your last little trip

Gasco saved me on my first boards spin with his glucose sweets :D I have done a lot of k's since that spin which must be around 3 months ago now and I should be in a lot better shape the next time I'm on a boards spin!

@CramCycle (and anyone else willing to get up at a time my wife calls "nighttime") you're more than welcome to join the next early spin. However, reading your post proposing a 5 hour beginners spin for next Monday makes me think that a spin with you may require a lot more power - shots (and maybe a jersey with more pockets).

    G'co
