Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was looking for info on something else and came across this site. Is there any truth in it? I don't remember hearing anything in credible media and would have thought it would have made national headlines. I remember something years ago where two Irish lads were arrested and jailed in Seychelles following mercenaries arriving on island and also remember a recruiting meeting in Dublin in the '80's -so there was some history between Ireland and Seychelles but don't think any Irish Army lads were ever involved. Is it just nonsense?

There's currently an investigation being carried out regarding DF members doing work in the Seychelle's.

The DoD has said nothing on the subject apart from the fact that an investigation is ongoing.

Considering there's ex-ARW and ex-Garda members currently training people over there, I'd imagine the thoughts of it happening before aren't much of a stretch of the imagination.

The tagline to the photo on that website would lead you to think thats a photo of the soldiers actually involved in it, but its actually an official photo of the Irish Army Ranger Wing taken from www.military.ie

This sounds VERY sinister, and McDowell was in the middle of it all .

According to the website - " So it appears Michael Mc Dowel a barrister of the Bar Council and a former Irish Minister for Justice knew that Irish Army Officers were buying illegal Arms on the black-market to train and Arm teams of Assassins. He then proceeded to cover this up with Irish High Court case 2009/2845 P a bogus breach of contract case for € 16 million and Michael Mc Dowel made money by doing so. "

Its important to note that, should these allegations actually be true, they weren't training assassins. Thats just the name of the alleged paramilitary group. Something they don't make clear in the article.
