Hydrogen Peroxide is brilliant for cleaning CD's. It's also great for cleaning cuts on skin, etc.

Keyboards can be cleaned with a vacuum (the small brush attachment) and by wiping with a damp cloth afterward. Same goes for remote controls, air vents in electronic casings, TVs, etc.

If what your cleaning is really expensive or specialized, you should clean it as recommended in the care document that came with it.
