Lesnar v Cro Cop... why not?

I know a lot of you will think its a crazy idea and wont achieve anything but consider this...
Cro Cop is a HUGE draw among die-hard MMA fans and in the European market. He still has a lot of fans depite his fairly lack lustre UFC career to date. He was once tagged 'the Pro-wrestler hunter' too which could be a great marketing ploy to sell Cro-Cop.
One could argue that the 30lb weight difference will be too much for Cro-Cop and that hes simply past his best.
But, for his many fans, who detest the sight of Lesnar, they would just love to see him land one of those jaw smashing kicks to his head for the K.O win and lift the title. The purists would have a field day and the market for UFC in Europe would explode.
It would surely sell a truck-load of PPVs as well.
I definitely would pay money to see that, anyone agree?

Cro Cop's UFC record for one to answer the topic title at least.

Yeah I would like to see it to see how Brock would handle Mirko's stand up (even in 2010). While on the other end see how Mirko can stuff Brock's takedowns and handle him on the ground.

Just remember we arent dealing with PRIDE era Cro Cop guys. :pac:

    +1

Pride era CroCop would have given Brock a good fight, CroCop Mk II just doesn't seem to have any heart and would give up within a round

I love CroCop way too much to want to see that fight. Maybe that will change if we see an unlikely return to his Pride form, but unless that happens no way do I want to see this fight.

I'd like to see this. Crocop should only fight big fights and if he comes in with the right frame of mind he can knock lesnar out.

This would never happen. Seriously, as much as i like Mirko, there is no way he'd last a round with Brock. It would go to the ground in the first ten seconds and Cro Cop would have no answer.

He is not the man he was in PRIDE, and to maximise PPV buys they need to put brock up against someone that might actually beat him.

would be a horrible fight for a cro cop fan, he would just be taken down and demolished in a round i fear :o

For whatever reason I think I always come across as too harsh on Mirko when the topic comes.

Lordy, lordy his fight with Fedor was an amazing demonstration of skill and preparation in the face of absolute danger.

Unlike Strikeforce, in the UFC they like to have you earn title shots.

Silva is the obvious exception, but he was on the tear before coming, and has proven I think that he deserved his shot.;)

Since coming (back) to the UFC, poking Turk in the eye, giving up to Dos Santos, beating Anthony "who" Perosh, and then Pat Barry (after Barry broke his hand and foot), doesn't equate to being anyhere near the title picture!
