A place where you could drive anyway you wanted up Maudlin Street. Where Bella from Fair City would drive through the gates of the Castle. Where Dean Street and the Market Yard didn't exist. Where a hip 'Hamburger Bar' was the place to eat on Kieran Street. Where Marion from Bosco was a lollipop lady outside the Presentation Primary. And where Brendan Corcoran drove the coolest Garda car I've ever seen. Watch on!

haha, particularly liked the olde lad at 15.23 "ya pup ya!"

Dont remember that hamburger place on kieran st and i was born in the early 80s! anyone know where that mill is near the end of the film, hardly the lacken with an actual moving water wheel?

The back of it is the Lacken and for the interior they use the Maltings building, which I also think doubles as the front of it.

    wow tears in my eyes
was the maltings a restaurant in Inistioge?

i remember being there the day they filmed the Bodhran car chase
one of my classmates Bronagh played the young girl - i never knew this before!!!!!!
I think the bmx bike belonged to Enda Coughlan who lived in the Sycamores.
Just noticed that the director was my Dad's cousin

    host of coincidences..

    :P Oh the inaccuracies;

The KK creamery man in a white coat
Girls in Kierans and no uniform for the boys
Cars parked at the Castle Door
My grandad not in any shot of Tynans
No winos at the little tower where the goldsmith (Hetzel?) used to be
Cycling out of Kierans and ending up at the back of the Loretto (if only)
Pres girls in a weird uniform.
Cows unloaded outside the CBS, why?

    Great find.

Are both of the 'heroes' in the chase local - I recognise Eamonn Walsh from the credits at the end.
