Getting back ownership of a site?

    Hey there,
Hope I can get a bit of advice on this one. A friend has a website that's 4 years old, where she's paid a monthly fee to the developers who have it hosted. Now she wants to switch developers and get someone totally new to look after the site for her.

She doesn't know what the story is with regaining ownership of the site? Does she actually 'own' the site and it's just a matter of switching over the details, or can the developers block that from happening? Would they cause any hassle in this process and what things should she be aware of before requesting the switch?

Thanks for any input it'd be great to hear your thoughts :)

    P.C

That's something you really need to discuss with the developers. If they're a good, reputable company then there shouldn't be a problem.
