    Headin to London for a few days and might go to casino at some stage. Anyone got any recommendations. Will be just playing Texas hold'em in a casino preferably with a bar. Stayin near Camden Town.

    The Vic on edgeware rd. is just the other side of regents Park so its right beside you .
    Lovely club, nice menu and a bar . Cant go wrong there imo.

    As damo said the vic. The empire is very central and will jump at you when your in the city center. Its horrible tho.

    There is a bar on the same floor in the poker room , but you cannot drink at the tables as far as i can remember. Also dont be suprised who you might see there , Bring a pen if your an autograph hunter

    You can definately drink while palying at the Gutshot. More relaxed atmosphere. it is like a cafe-bar with Poker more than a casino

    Gutshot is closed a while now.

    The Vic is probably your best bet as the games run 24/7.
    Dress code has relaxed lately but you still get rich kids spunking Daddys money at the tables.
    There's something strangely satisfying about winning money off a guy called Tristan.
    You can most certainly drink at the table.
    Stacks can get a bit crazy.
    eg. I bought into a £1/£3 game with £1000 and was the shortest stack at the table.


    Empire gets alot of fish breezing in at the weekends but is pretty much a ****hole.

    The Hendon Mob are opening a club next weekend in ChinaTown.

    The Empire isn't that bad and the cash tables are very soft. the poker room is a little tight and not up to the standard of the rest of the casino but it's in Leicester Sq and very central.
