Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Fecking roasting out today..felt like I was crazy going to the gym..but wanted to get conditioning outta the way so that the weekend is easier:)

    This frightens the life outta me:(always terrified I'm going to fall off. Was absolutely sweating buckets after..I heat up far too quick!

    Took a bit of a rest in between each round to give my arms a break.
    Inverted rows are much much much easier these days.:)

    Attempted the treadmill again..but I was panicking..decided to switch to the bike. Going to keep trying the treadmill for one block each week to get used to it. If I was in IP I'd just be doing what I was told even if I didnt want to..so gonna keep trying the running.

    Saturday 4th June
    Tried out a new gym today for my squatting and am much happier:)

    Squatting began really annoyingly, had to ole fellas try to tell me how to squat...repeatedly..they wanted me to load the weight onto the bar and put plates under my heels..was really annoying cos I thanked them for the interest but said I wanted to do it my way...but they kept coming over and saying it over and over again:(:( Thankfully someone else came to the rescue:)

    The only thing I was concentrating on today was trying not to do stipper squats..ie..push my ass back.

    Was dreading doing conditioning today..think it was just the rower I was dreading..once again, completely stupid cos once I get started I really enjoy it.:rolleyes:

    I really like the new shoes, they feel very sturdy even in comparison to converse. I'm hoping they'll have a placebo effect on my squats:)

    Really? It probably would do be good to invest in a pair but there are so many nicer things (ie clothes & hols) that l want to spend my money on:)

    Had a great week dieting, even was out to dinner last night and ate healthily AND skipped desert:D...made quite a few bad food choices today
    though...and now feeling real groggy :(

    Decided it was about time to give the treadmill a whirl again. I've decided not to worry about the speed and just do it at a comfortableish pace and up it slowly..that way I'm not terrified and my hatred of it is way lessened

    Hands were cramping a bit but not bad.

    Really started to feel the effects of copious amounts of tea and chocolate during this block:( Tummy realllllly wasn't feeling good. Won't be doing that again.

    Upped the level cos I got over 5km in all three blocks last day, but it was far, far too hard. Kept struggling to try and keep the rpm above 80. I'll give it a shot again next day and see whether I'll drop it back down.

    Only problem is - it means you don't have any inherent limitation. Sowhen you squat heavier and it looks bad, it's cos you're sh!t.

    Cos they hurt when I'm doing them, not after. Didn't think it was a big deal. I never feel them in my legs at all so just figured that my lower back is not used to them or just weaker then my hamstrings...
