Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey dos anyone know if the Digital Camera Company are reputable
    http://digital-cameras.com/

I am thinking about buying a camera from them- there is too much of a difference to buy in Ireland. A canon g11 with lots of bits will work out 150-200 cheaper and im on a budget.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

    Thanks

if something looks really good value in relation to electronics, there is often a catch

    the first site, read these:
    http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews159866.html

or have a browse through a huge selection of camera store reviews here:
    http://www.reviewcentre.com/products619.html

simple advice when buying a camera, buy from a trusted site that you've heard of such as amazon
or more reliably, an online store that also has a real shop front such as:
http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/ who have a great shop in belfast

don't have any info on whether that online store is reliable or not, maybe you should take a look at the FAQs :)

Regarding Calumet be aware that they wont deliver to the Republic of Ireland, no probs tho if you want to travel to belfast to get stuff!!

    see the thread here

On the question of the FAQs maybe a mod might contact me with a view to updating the section on where to buy stuff, i've updated it some time back, and it's ready and waiting on my computer to be uploaded and copied into place :)

I bought a Canon SX210is from them in May. It was about €50 cheaper than the next cheapest. As soon as I placed my order the stock level shown on their site changed to Out of Stock. I reckoned I had got the last one. After a week when It still hadn't arrived I contacted them to find out what was going on. They said it was out of stock and they would upgarde me to express delivery when it came in. I got it 2 days later. Overall slower than I had hoped, but I was happy enough. I wasn't in that much of a hurry and I saved at least €50.
