The Dole

Ok,

I have recently turned 21 years old and i am still living at home, i did a PLC course last year and since last April i have been flat out looking for a job, but no luck whatsoever.

I'm fed up not having any money and having to ask my mother for a leand of 20 euro. I can't find a job anywhere and believe me i have looked everywhere.

So basically i'm asking what is needed for the dole, i'm living with my Mother and her husband (my step father).

He's on about 1000 euro a week and my mother is on about 500. I also have 2 more brothers and 2 more sisters in the house aswell.

Basically i just want to know if i'm entitled to anything at all. Even if it was 80 euro a week so i could look after myself without always having to ask.

You're 21 so you'd only be entitled to max €100. It's then means tested on your parents income (mother and step father) with their mortgage / rent taken into account and school going children that they support who reside there.

Make an application anyway.
