Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I much prefer this one.

    It's all fun and games until...

    It's particularly funny the way the van rolls over the bike for the second time.

    I wonder how many messengers are killed or injured in NYC on a yearly basis, riding that like.

    From seeing NYC streets myself though, there are a couple of things in their favour;

    - Pedestrians tend to cross at crosswalks. It would be extremely rare for someone to step out from behind a bus
    - All roads are one-way. This means that you have nobody waiting to turn left across you and T-bone you, very few cars waiting in side roads to pull out and nobody overtaking on the wrong side of the road.
    - The grid system means that lanes are very clearly defined, and there is rarely any need for last-minute jumps from one lane to the other in order to make a turn. You can even see in the video, there are very few vehicles sitting diagonally across the traffic, like you see every 50m in Dublin. Lane-jumping isn't tolerated (nobody lets anyone else in), so it's not done as much.
