dvd on computer...how do i transfer

I created a wedding dvd on my laptop and have been trying unsuccessfully to burn it to a dvd....what do i need to have downloaded....my laptop plays dvds no problem but i cannot seem to burn this wedding dvd i created using windows movie maker onto a dvd to give them

Windows movie maker normally creates a .WMV file, which may not play on some dvd players. Imgburn is great, its the only burner i use these days
