Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Either they're really trying to give the crowd something special, or they're naively glory-hunting. I'm guessing the latter! :D

In fairness the MLS Super Dooper All Stars seem to be playing well since the 2 goals.

Giggs is still top class. Head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch, even at his age. Incredible.

Great run by Giggs. Unlucky Macheda, he shouldn't be going near the bench 'til he has his hat trick...

I doubt it. America is on another planet in terms of advertising.

"This throw in is brought to you by Sprite. Obey your thirst!" etc. etc.

Kiko seems to be like that kid at school who used to score loads goals, used to hang around the opposition area a lot and do little but moan yet you really wanted him on your team as he would score.

The last goal hanger we had didn't do too badly for the club (even if he did have a bit of a Dutch horseface)

    AGH Fletcher!!

I'd say if Giggs sees another MLS referee after this tour, it'll be too soon.

    Hand kick
    Hand pass
    Line ball

Pretty sure i've heard them use hand kick in previous MLS games, and head kick for headers.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 354 ✭✭Shaneomac

    Take the opposition into account....

True. But confidence breeds confidence and the lads playing well here should have them in good stead for the first game

We need skysports to english up its NFL coverage. Call field goal attempts shots. Call the restart a kickout etc.

He is the offencive-lineman. He was drafted 1st overall from Barcelona.

All I know is you can get the train there from the capital London where the Queen and Tony Blair live.

No, was working until about 1, I just have a hatred for American commentary ever since I lived in Boston.

I played pool for a pub called JJ's in Dorchester and they had "innings" in the games. Don't even ask me to explain it. Retards.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,951 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Macheda is bringing a Tevez-esque feature to his game by chasing everything in and around the box and putting pressure on the defence. It's good to see, I hope he can keep that up.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,092 ✭✭✭Le King

Ah Yank bashing. Can I join in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,235 ✭✭✭Dave147

Surely that was a violation there, he didn't attempt the field goal before the shot clock ran out. Think Coach Ferguson should call a time out so we can see the cheerleaders strut their stuff.

    DEEFENCE!! DEEEEEFENCE!!!! DEEEEEFENCE!!!!

    OFFENCE!!!! OFFENCE!!! OFFENCE!!!

Surely that was a free throw to Manchester there?

Good goaltending there, by the .... Goal Tender.
