Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I am starting a one year fetac course in september and will be changing from opfb to btea allowance. I will also be receiving rent allowance by then hopefully, are there any other grants or allowances I would be eligible to apply for as I have just realised that I am going to be stoney broke!!

From September 2010, students entering a new course who are in receipt of the Back to Education Allowance will no longer be eligible for a maintenance grant. Such students can, however, apply under the relevant maintenance grant scheme to have the student services charge and any tuition fees payable for the course paid on their behalf.
