    Folks,

The county council has recently dug up the footpaths outside a number of houses in my estate. Is there a department within the council that I can contact to find out the reason for the footpaths been dug. The replacement concrete in some sections is sub standard & is a tripping hazard.

    Thanks in advance

Is it a black tarmac as apposed to concrete? Because when GAS is installed on a house, they'll temporarily put down black tarmac whilst the installation is on going and when its finished come back and put in proper concrete.

It maybe because the water stop cock was too close to the surface of the footpath.
Our house is 40 years old and after the big freeze and having no water i,they did some work on them.

    It's not tarmac, it's concrete.

Spoke with the council & they advised that they are resurfacing the footpaths.

There was nothing wrong with the footpaths in the first place, a complete waste of taxpayers money.

Surely the council would have more important projects that this funding could be used for.

Take phohos of the uneven surface and email them to the council and any local councillor (and aspiring candidates) who has been dropping leaflets to your house detailing how much work they've done on your behalf.
