Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Diego is such a good player, but his set-pieces are absolutely woeful.

This RTE stream is shocking, its a minute behind other streams on the net.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

    I don't think I've heard a crowd so excited about getting a corner. :)

Considering the opposition, Rovers have done fantastically here. If they can keep this to 1-0, it would be an incredible result.

Supporters have been a different class tonight.

Rovers gave a good account if themselves in the last 10minutes, keep that going and who knows!

    But that's just petty.

Commentary is shockingly biased as well - if Juve didn't give the ball back, there'd be murder. But when Rovers do it, Hand decides he "mightn't have known" and says that "far worse things have happened in games of football".

And then chuckles along about match-fixing.

    Sigh.

This is whats wrong with the modern game, it's all to poxy nice! Finally something to give the game a bit of bite!

    Same old Juve, Always Cheating:D

Damn damn dammit for that early early goal

I think Rovers not giving the ball back for the drop ball was a bad move.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,415 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Juventus utterly dominant, all the possession and chances. The one thing Shamrock Rovers have going for them should be their superior fitness (given that they are in the middle of their season while Juve are only training a couple of weeks).

Not giving the ball back from the drop ball was a bit embarrassing tbh.

Eoin Hand rarely knows what he's talking about anyway, reckons Rovers should go 4-4-2 and get destroyed.

Rovers will go 442 in the 2nd half, does that mean Hand is a genius?

They should go 442 **** all to lose tbh.

    really?
think juve will be happy with the 1-0 but i dont see how losing 1-0 at home is an "incredible result" for any team

I hope Del Piero makes an appearence in the second half.

You realise who Juventus are, right?

Most of their players earn €100k+ per week.

Respectable result maybe, but definitely not "incredible"

Well I'd say that it would be "incredible" if Juve lost 1-0 at home to Rovers...

... but otherwise, I'm with you. Current scoreline is respectable but no more.

exactly! I would say not a terrible result, yeah its juventus so great they are competing and not losing 4-0 but "incredible" aint the word :pac:

    So.

So should they not be thumping a team whose total weekly wage is one 3rd of that?

Sometimes i wonder if tv football detaches people from reality.

Juves jacks roll costs more than the whole of the Rovers team!

Men against Men regardless of salaries

Argh, probably needed to take that chance. Unlikely to get one as good. Wasn't a terrible header mind.

Good to see Rovers geting the ball down and playing with the head in the second half.

Amauri completely owned there. Too much pace and athleticism. Would have been a great goal.

Doing ok, but really need to go with 2 up front at this stage. At nothing going over there 1-0 down. Have to go for it now, try get to 1-1.

I've got a bet on and need Juve to win to complete the double. But I'll gladly take the hit to see a Shams goal.

    It would be fantastic.
