Dvd issue on homebuild

    Hi guys, just wondering if someone can help me, i made a pc, it has windows 7 and a few dvds drives on it and that, one issue i seem to be having is that the pc will burn 3 - 5 discs in a row and then free up or just turn the dvd into a coaster... anyone know what causes that, ive tried multiple drives including an external one, its running 4 gb ram and a Phenom x2 processor

    Im assuming its the motherboard...

    Can anyone give me a second opinion on this??
