Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know of what are the best brands or places to go with regard to a buying computer within a budget of about 600 euro max. I.E. a platform that runs well on all typical computer functions and games. A good review site suggestion relevant to the Irish market would be great.

    Thanks!

it has a good review of graphic cards and processors

I presume you are talking about purchasing a pre-built computer, in which case i would recommend the dell outlet store. These are computers other people ordered and have cancelled, or were defective and they were repaired. I have bought a laptop and a PC from there and never had a problem.
You won't get a monitor with the system tho, so be sure to get one from somewhere like komplett.ie

I would recommend building your own PC as you could build a better PC yourself for the same price as a dell pc.

That's a good post thanks. I presume if I just google "How to build a new computer" or so on I will get plenty of tips.

Try boards very own private sales site www.adverts.ie. The computer section - http://www.adverts.ie/showcat.php?cat=125 . There is usually room for haggling on the prices. Read the site rules first and safety tips as your buying from private sellers.

You making the PC for gaming, word processing, or 3D design? Make a list of your budget, what you need it for, etc, and post a thread in the Building & Upgrading section :D
