    How much money does a house witha stove save you each week in coal and heating costs?

    i know its sumner but it will be cold in a month or 2

    well open fires send 70% or so heat up the chimney

    most modern stoves are in the ~80% efficiency range

    could probably calculate a figure from these two points

    but of course also depends on what the stove burns

    I thought it was more like 85% of the heat up the chimney
