Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sidi & Speedplay?

Guys I got new Sidi Ergos and Speedplay zeros. I have 2 Q's before I start fitting them. 1- The Sidi manual says remove the insole and cut out along the perforation and push through the metal inserts from the outside and substitute. Is this required with the zeros?I can't see any substitutes in the zeros? 2- Where does the sticker go under the cleat? Is it to protect the sole of the shoe and if so I presume the smooth side to the sole and rough side facing the cleat? Thanks for the help.

I haven't used the Ergos but any previous shoes that I've had which required replacing an insert provided a sticker for the inside of the shoe to help keep water from entering from underneath.

By the way, in case you are not aware, Speedplay have a section of their website where you select your shoe from a list and they give you info on how to fit their pedals to that shoe. It's mainly to tell you what shims you need to use but there is a chance it'll give info on inserts too, if they are needed. I suspect you won't need inserts with the Speedplays though - the pedals themselves don't come with any inserts as they just rely on standard 3 or 4 -hole mount points in the shoe.
