    Hi

Has anyone got Imagine WiMax in Athlone (the Roscommon side)?
I'm wondering what the speeds are like.
The adverts tell great things but I have been burned by many ISP's and their advertised speeds.

I'm looking at chnaging providers and just hoping someone can tell me it's great or it's rubbish.

If you have UPC Cable, Fixed Wireless, DSL via copper phone line, stay put.

It's a Nomadic/Mobile service at 3.5GHz, which is a poor band for it. So it varies from 3G Mobile performance to Broadband performace. Their "unlimited" is only 30GByte.

If you have Mobile available only and don't need Mobility / "On the go" then Maybe the Imagine WiMax service is for you.

Athlone is well served with real fixed Broadband.
