SSD Upgrade Help

I recently purchased a 30gig OCZ Vertex SSD and I am running into trouble figuring out how to install it.

From what I've read, clean install of windows 7 is the way to go - but I have so many settings and more importantly utorrent rss feeds set up that I would really really really like to avoid having to redo everything on a fresh install.

I have a 3rd hard drive that I am keeping all my videos and documents safe on, but can I transfer my utorrent info there? that's the main thing I'm worried about.

I would really appreciate information on how I can achieve this... I've googled a lot about it and the info I'm looking for is either way over my head or isn't exactly what I'm looking for... any advice is appreciated and, importantly, I'd gladly pay someone to do this for me too (Dublin area shops or individuals).

step 1) disconnect all old hardives in your pc

step 2) install SSD

step 3) install windows 7

step 4) setup SSD following this guide

step 5) power off pc, reconnect old hardrives

step 6) turn pc back on and let windows 7 auto detect them.

step 7) port over bittorrent settings to new windows 7 build....

You do have the option of using software such as acronis true image
http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/

You could make an image of your current setup and transfer it to the SSD.

Personally i would go with the fresh install, get it setup right, then make a back up using acronis for when you need to reinstall windows again.

I did google quite a bit, hence the "From what I've read" comment but didn't see that link on utorrent's site.

Yeah uTorrent keeps almost everything in your user directory. I've transferred over numerous in-progress downloads to a new install by porting over the directories.
