Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Placebo,

    * Can i just use the canon utility to review photos as i am taking them

There is a programme on the disc that came with your Canon that allows you to take the photograph from your pc / laptop when the camera is connected to it. I can't remember the name as I don't use the software that came with the camera anymore but I know I used it once when I got it originally.

    * where would i be able to get an extension for the usb cord [canon 4OD]

This is a standard usb cable so you should be able to pick up a long one from any electronic store, try Maplin's or Peats and you'll get one for a few euro.

    * what type of wire the shutter cable uses, if i would be able to cut it up and extend it myself

You possibly could cut and extend it, although it's more likely you'll end up with a buggered shutter release cable. You're better off pick up a Hama wireless shutter release for this purpose, they're about €50 from any good camera store, although you'll get one cheaper from eBay if you don't mind waiting. They will allow you to control the camera from about 30 metres away.

    Hope this helps

    Steve

Just had a look at Bermingham's website, you can get a Hama Wireless Remote Control (RS-80 E3) for €59.99
