Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Article

On the main page of the Irish Times website it states:

"Wooded area near Baltinglass remains sealed off by gardaí after remains are discovered"

When you open the article the wooden area is:

The skull, believed to be that of a man, was found yesterday afternoon at Ballyfolan, near Manor Kilbride outside Blessington.

Can some of these journalists come down to West Wicklow and discover:

Manor Kilbride and Blessington are not Baltinglass.

That Stratford where Larry Murphy grew up is not Baltinglass.

That Larry Murphy did not live in Baltinglass, he lived miles outside near Kiltegan.

Yes, I saw one report on the RTE website and another on the Irish Times website this morning first thing and at first assumed they were two totally different stories. One of them (RTE I think) mentioned a body being found by walkers, rather than a skull being unearthed by tree clearing contractors.

Anyway, they've changed both sites now with no mention of Baltinglass though :)

It still says Baltinglass on the main page of the Irish Times and under the picture on the article.

Baltinglass, Blessington - both begin with 'B', have 'ing' and 'ss' in them, so they probably think they're the same place, or different spellings of the same town! Seriously, can they not do just an itsy bit of research before they publish an article? It's not that hard!
