I've been thinking about getting my first one with out 3/4 years now. I want it to be done well, by a professional who knows exactly what they're doing. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some studios or artists that do Traditional style work? It doesn't matter where in the country, once their work is good!

    Hi there!

I'm getting my first tattoo done next week and I had no doubts about where I'd get it done. JMD's in Waterford. They've done all my brother's tattoo's, are friendly, professional, and hygenic.

Take a look at the gallery on their site:

    Best of luck with it!

Thanks! I had a look. Their work is brilliant, but none of their work is really the style i'm looking for. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

When you say traditional do you mean in the style of Sailor Jerry/ Ed Hardy?

Have a look at the work of Eddie Vegas, www.artofvegas.tk He's from
S America, where traditional is still quiet big.
I know his stuff's not to everyones liking but he's the only one who seems to be specialising in traditional at the moment. The Dublin convention will be a good spot too, as that styles making a bit of a comeback in the UK.
