Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

we recently changed location to a house with no landline so swmbo rushed to the nearest 02 shop and signed up for a 15 gb per month broadband.

my question is,as she is on facebook for hours every day how long will 15 gigs last and how will she know how to limit useage.

No need to worry about that. 15 gigs is far too much for just Internet browsing without download anything. You could probably go on facebook 24/7 for the month and only use 1 or 2 gigs.

I have fifteen gigs per month as well... with Three

The only things that will realistically make push you over the 15Gbs are

    a) downloading video ... whether as torrents, youtube type video website, funny email videos, RTE Player / 4od type sites. etc etc
    and
    b) downloading large amounts of audio... whether mp3s, podcasts, online radio stations....

The only time I surpassed the limit was when I watched a full series of King Of Queens on youtube ;) Once I noticed that I had passed the 15Gb, I just plugged out the 3g for the remaining days of the month (as update software can download stuff in the background which you are unaware of).

I know with Three there is a page that I can look up to see how much I have downloaded.. If you could find something similar for your network it would make it a lot easier for you to gauge what sites you go to that will use up your bandwidth..

if you've registered your broadband number online, you can check your usage with this link - https://www.o2online.ie/NASApp/MyAccount/PostpaidUnbilledInclusiveUnitsServlet.htm

if you haven't registered, just log onto o2.ie and it'll give details. it'll text a code to your modem that you'll need to register.

15gb/month is a lot for just facebook usage. you'll never go through it all. i'm on 10gb/month with o2, and minus all my downloading videos, i'd stay i'd go through about 700mb just browsing and checking boards/facebook etc
