Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Team for AC:

    Fabianski

    Eboué----Vermaelen----Koscielny
    Gibbs

    Frimpong

    Nasri
    Wilshere

    Rosicky
    Arshavin

    Chamakh

    Subs: Sagna, Vela, Walcott, Djourou, Clichy, Emmanuel-Thomas, Randall, Nordtveit, Szczesny.

    Just a guess, Rosicky could be in the middle with Jack on the RW.

    Really looking forward to this. Looking forward to seeing the two new signings and Frimpong in action. Hopefully JET gets a half hour to make an impact aswell.

    Can't say I care to be honest. I wouldn't boo anybody, but I think it's fairly understandable.

    very much so, i thought he did his best when he played for us. Most seasons he was played out of position, he had 1 great season in his favored position. We didnt do enough to keep him

    Really? Great!

    I know he's only been on a short while though!

    Both sides are giving it a good go at least, looks like it will be an entertaining game.

    Gibbs is lookin very good. I remember seeing him at the same tournament a few years against inter, he was great

    Gibbs has been very good so far as has Koscielny and Chamakh.

    Chamakh's super-greasy, receding, spiky mullet has to go...

    He can keep it as long as he keeps doing that.

    nice goal, very good run by Arshavin, Chamakh looks the biz down the middle

    I'm gonna get one.....although I'll more resemble Kenny Powers.

    That was a cracking run by Nasri, deserved a goal, how Rosicky managed to hit it straight at the keeper I don't know, he had the whole goal to aim at!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,254 ✭✭✭shano_88

    Very happy with the first half performance. Chamakh took the goal very well. Everyone seems to be performing good!

    I'd like to see JET/Vela/Walcott come on for Rosicky who has done very little or Shava. Hopefullt Frimpong and Wilshere get the full game.

    Wouldn't mind seeing Nordtveit at some stage either.

    Nasri has been playing very well pre-season....a big season ahead for him me thinks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

    Walcott -> Rosicky
    Sagna -> Eboué
    Clichy -> Gibbs

    I thought Gibbs was playing very well, suprised he was taken off.

    sure its not really about how good they are playing, its all about trying to get all of our players match fit. Altho i agree, gibbs was playin very good

    Vela on for Shava.

    They haven't a chance now.

    awful goal to let in

    Dreadful goal to leave in.

    Randall is Arsenal through and through on that evidence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

    I knew as soon as Seedorf hit it it was a goal, absolutely brilliant ball into a dangerous position.

    Indeed, how did he miss?

    Difference between Randall and Wilshere and Ramsey is immense.

    Vela playing well

    I'm suprised Randall is still there tbf, I thought he would be gone to someone in League 1 at this stage.

    A: We REALLY need a keeper. One the defence are scared of.

    B: Walcott. I don't get it, I always thought he could come good, but he is rubbish. Not a footballer.

    C: Even though that was a second string side, I can't see us doing anything this year, especially if we dont sort out the defence. Ugh.

    Not a bad game for a friendly! Zambrotta unlucky towards the end!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,115 ✭✭✭Pacifico

    Thought walcott played well on the right, poor when he had to play up front though

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,719 ✭✭✭DB10

    Poor stuff second half. All 3 CB's played today as well..
    Hope Lansbury and Eastmond play tomorrow.

    Thought the booing of Flamini was retarded but there you go typical of many of our fans. We used to treat returning players with respect.

    Only the ones who treated the club and fans with respect. When he started moaning in the press that he wasn't getting his game and said he'd talked to his lawyer about a move he lost that respect. Little primadonna who got ideas above his station imo.
