I'm looking for things to do/see with our daughter of 11 months. Wife went to library recently and there happened to be some sort of play going on in which children were pretending to be digging, planting seeds, working in garden etc and our daughter loved it. This is our first child and we'd like to get out more with her but aren't sure where to go/what to see.

She's a really contented little girl but it gets a bit boring being in the house. We have a back garden which is full of veg now and she's a bit young for it so I'm thinking it would be good for her to see plays/puppet shows that kinda thing. She liked the zoo as well. Would be nice to get a list/sticky of things to do with toddlers. Here are my suggestions:

    Trip to the zoo
join a breastfeeding/mothers group to interact with other kids
Take them to children's plays where there is emphasis on movement and singing
Go walking and get some fresh air
Visit a farm like Newbridge House to see the animals
    Go for a swim
    Puppet show

How far into the city are you?Ardgillan house is just at Skerries in North county Dublin, it's great for walking and the playground is absolutely amazing (and I'm a grown up!!). Could you bring her to the beach aswell? Maybe get the Dart to Malahide or Portmarnock, or even the train to Skerries? Or the National Aquatic Centre - many pools have parent and toddler hours.

Ardgillan wouldn't be too far off Newbridge House to be honest with you...
