Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Like the thread title says basically - How can I fit bottle cages to a frame with no holes for bottle cages?

I don't want to drill into the frame so looking for clever inventions/ideas. Would like to get 3 cages onto my bike but there's no holes in the frame..

this is going to wreck my head. It's some kind of plumbing device, metallic that you can fit around the the frame and tighten around the cage near where the bolts would go.

The name??? who knows. I'm searching google images.

A Vitus bike I have from 1989 has only one drilled bottle cage set. The other is attached using two metal bands that are held together with a nut & screw. Many older bike shops still have them in the recesses of their workshops.

I remember years ago when I was a kid most cages came with jubillee type clips for attaching them to bikes.

I got a set of these for the small P-X, can get an extra 500 ml bottle on.

Picked them up in Halfords in Blanchardstown for 6 euro iirc.
I can stick up a photo if needed.

Just noticed the Tax Man got these in before me- however I meant to add that I have them about 4 months now with no problem.

I wouldn't bother with the bottle cages.
2 litre Camelback bladders can be bought on ebay for less than a tenner.
