Where is the HD 5830 160 euro? I got one for 230 a month and some ago, would be awesome to have a second in CrossfireX.

The 5830 is down to €160 on pixmania

€160 is pretty good! Looks like competition is as work with the new nVidia 460, which I'd also recommend you also consider for €180 from pixmania. Performs a little better than the 4830.

What does the budget have to include?
    Monitor?
    Keyboard?
    Operating system?

    Hmm, I have a monitor.
which motherboard should I choose for nvidia 460 or radeon hd 5830?
4g memories, Hard drive, pc tower cases, mouse.
    Maybe a win7 operating system.

Who can tell me the best way to build a desktop? Buy all the parts online or go shopping in Blanchardstown? I think I can buy some parts there.

Online! Always! Unless you know exactly what you want and you know if you are being ripped off or not in a regular shop.

Online is usually cheaper and you have a much better selection of parts

Pretty much any motherboard will take either, but some boards will have better features and room for expansion to multiple cards.

    68 AMD Athlon II X3 435 "Boxed" 95W, Sockel AM3
    90 ASRock 890GM Pro3, Sockel AM3, mATX
18 LG GH22NS40/NS30 bare schwarz SATA II
    38 Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB, 16MB, ST3500418AS
    180 Palit GTX460 768MB, PCI-Express
    84 4GB OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 Gold AMD Edition
    45 Corsair CX400W 400 Watt
    92 MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SB-Version Englisch
    €615
    + 30 delivery + case + mouse

You still need a case on top of that. I threw in the 460 because the 5830s are dearer on hardwareversand than the 460s. That's slightly beyond the budget - You could save maybe €30 if you choose a different motherboard. What kind of mouse are you thinking of?

Edit: Maybe just get the MSI 770-G45 instead. It'll save you €30. The downside is no USB 3 or SATA 6Gbps, but there's 2 PCI-E slots which will give you the opportunity to get an add in card if you find you want USB 3 later or maybe get the ASRock 870 Extreme3.

Thank you very much Monotype! It seems that you always prefer hardwareversand to pixmania. Radeon HD 5830 - 1 GB GDDR5 is only 160Euro now on pixmania. That's the reason I want to build a pc with it. Can you give me more ideas? Thank you!

I've just never used them myself and I hear a lot of bad things about them. I've never used hardwareversand either. I'd normally go for elara, dabs, komplett, ebuyer, memoryc or amazon.

I didn't see a suitable version of windows 7 on pixmania, so I didn't add it.
The 440 was cheaper than the 435, so I went for that. Motherboards are a bit dearer with smaller selection, but that one looks decent enough. Do you have any requirements for future expansion on your board?
There's a load of cases to choose from that won't break you, but you know your own tastes better, so you can pick that out.
The CX400 is €4.90 cheaper that the current PSU, but it seemed like a reasonable offer.

Edit: Oops there's 2 dvd drives there. Just discount one.

Edit 2: Actually, don't pick the CX400. You need 2 6 pin PCI-E connectors for the 5830 (which you could still do using adapters, but might as well make it easy for yourself), so stick with the modXStream pro.

Thanks zappb, I was actually looking for places that sold silverstone cases because I was looking out for the release of the SG07. But -ouch- €185. Still, I suppose you do get a good PSU. Shipping is a small fortune too.

no probs monotype, that sg07 is a real beaut,

just so people know - Peats can order you in alot of things from caseking for reasonable markup (very slight increase on the caseking prices) so it can end up cheaper than ordering from caseking and paying shipping etc...depending on how much is ordered, but you can be waiting awhile in between shipments (peats will only do bulk orders and can take months before they build up the need)

Cool, thanks for the tip. I'm in not in a hurry anyway as I'm still waiting for more parts to be released.

    just in case tho, 5830 is a big card,i mean,very big :D

thats the pic of mine, besides a nokia e65:
    14IMG_5883.JPG

so think twice for getting a mATX board. also 5830 is known to have some issue for some user, like me i need to clock it down abit to make it stable or it will freeze the screen when i open multiple apps.

So i'm not the only one who needs to Underclock in certain programs and games!

I've been hearing a lot of dodgy things about the 5830. Especially in crossfire. The 460 seems like a better alternative every day.
