Parking near the Aviva Stadium wed evening

    Can anyone suggest a car park within walking distance or one that would be close to public transport links ???

    If there is an event on, you won't get near the stadium unless you have a special permit.

    There is a DART station Lansdowne Road (Grand Canal Dock closes during events) right next to it and plenty of buses.

    You can get the Dublin Bus routes 2, 3, 18 from Sandymount (goes via Ballsbridge), 10 from Baggot Street or 4/a, 5, 7/a, 8, 45 (doesn't go all the way to the city centre), 84 from Ballsbridge. Even more choice from Donnybrook / Upper Leeson Street.

    Where's the nearest you could park however around the 4pm mark and how much would it cost ?
    Be looking to make a quick exit afterwards

    which you won't be allowed use if you are in certain sections of the stadium.

    Park off Baggot Street UPR. Pay and display until 7pm so you will be ok with the 3 hr max period. Shelbourne Road and Lansdowne Road will be closed.

    And remember, the horse show kicked off today so allow even more time travelling in the area.

    I actually parked right across from the Mespil Hotel and paid & displayed up til 7pm which did the job.
    Straight out to Inchicore/Red Cow/N7 and out the gap.
    Lots of people giving out on radio this morn about getting out of the Aviva but i found it fine this way.
    Was in the car and gone an'all by 9.45pm !
    Did leave the game 10mins before the end alright though.
