Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

MP3 codec woes - WMP11

I have an MP3 that Windows Media Player 11 won't play. KMPlayer and Winamp both play it perfectly. It's really confusing, because I've looked at the file info, and it doesn't seem to be any different than other MP3s that play fine in WMP11. I've given examples below of info gotten through Winamp for two MP3s, the first one doesn't work in WMP11, the second one does.

Anyone come across anything similar? Is there any other file property I should look at that would help me get to the bottom of it?

I don't know why it won't play, but you could get Audacity and Lame encoder and make another mp3, that might play in WMP11. I won't ask why you don't just use Winamp !

Thanks. Found something called lamedrop and converted it to wmv, and back to mp3, and it works ok.

I do use Winamp, I'm just puzzled as to why WMP11 won't play the yoke, the properties suggest it should.
