Does anyone know somewhere in D15 I can bring my vacuum cleaner to be fixed?

It won't switch on when I plug it in. I have changed the fuse in the plug but that hasn't solved the problem.

    What make is it?

    Could you ring the manufacturer?

Saw an ad in Superquinn this morning and thought of you - Jim Gardner. Havent used him though so cant comment on his work.

We had a vacuum cleaner with the same problem a few years ago. Turned out there was a small piece of plastic in the switch broken. I just bypassed the switch, so the unit came on as soon as it was plugged in - not ideal but we got a couple more years out of it!

Are you not tempted to open it up and have a look yourself?

    Thanks for this Gaspode.

I'll give him a ring. It's a Nilfisk vacuum cleaner. I'd love to open it up - but I wouldn't have a clue what to do then!!!!!!

Just to update. Rang the above guy. He doesn't fix vacuum cleaners.

Took it over to a repair shop in Harolds Cross and they fixed it (new cable needed).

    Thanks for the assistance, Gaspode.
