Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What's your view on this bike rack ?
Considering getting it, but how secure is the fit to the towbar ?

Can't see any bad reviews on the interweb, so that's a positive, I guess.

    Cheers,
    strummer

I have that and it's great.
Fully secure and easy to fit and use.
It's carried 3 MTB's over to France for the past 3 years with no issues or problems at all.

Cheers a million, my main worry was how secure it fits on the towbar,
especially with the state of some of our roads.

    Thanks,

I also have one and find it great. Bought it a year ago in CSS for €65. It is so quick and easy to fit to the towbar with one lever to lock it on. You can swing out of it and it won't move an inch. The instructions advise you to make sure that the ball hitch is dry( no grease ) before you fit to towbar.:)

Bit the bullet and picked up the Xpress 970 last night.
    Well chuffed with it.

My worry was that when clamped to the ball, it might still move on
    rough road / /potholes.
However, the rack also clamps the neck of the towbar, and so locks
in a very solid stable position.

Cheers again RobFowl and Bequick for the excellent advice !

How much did it cost and where abouts did you buy if you don't mind me asking. Will also have to get a bike rack at some stage and since I already have a towbar would prefer the towbar option. Has this mounts to carry two bikes or can you carry more at a squeeze?
    Thanks

I got mine in Halfords for 78 euro.
Though you can get it in Cyclesuperstore for 70, but for me it was too much time/distance just to save the 8 euro ;)

Wiggle has them for 67.26 :

It has mounts for 2 bikes, you wouldn't get 3 on it I would think.
