New Smart 24mb only getting 5-7mb ish

    if you are using wireless use a wired connection and recheck it.
    make sure any programs that could be uploading or downloading are off and that only the pc you are using is connected

    Try using a download from ftp.heanet.ie. Tell us what the download speed is as reported by firefox/internet explorer etc.

    I was seeing slowing speeds with Smart using speedtest.net and the default site before. However when I changed the server site around a bit got different speeds. I'm based in Dublin and from what I remember the best results were from the Limerick server.
