Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

DOWNLOAD,INSTALL cccleaner,it should free up around 500meg.delete old ,temporary files.
see here http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner,for vista you should have at least a 40gig hardrive.
You can switch off system restore, and save space,
    see here http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/app_system_restore_hss_settings.mspx?mfr=true
see here http://bertk.mvps.org/html/tips.html#14 ,you could delete the system restore files ,but that means you,ll have no backup on drive c.

NOT ENOUGH PROVIDED TO HAVE AN OPINON

You really need to explain what (and why + with what) you are backing up?

Does sound like you might have something like a Samsung laptop that has a its own Windows based backup system that backs up everything on the main partion to a backup partition  In which case delete one or more of your old back ups first.

its a dell laptop the back up is a feature / programme and is timed to back every so often to RECOVERY E

So you need to check up how many previous backups you have and get rid of some of the older ones.

If there isn't any interface to see what backups you have then you could try to do a reinstall (but don't actually complete it) you should get to a stage where it give you a choice of backups to restore from, if there is more than one choice then you need to delete the ones you don't need.

I would have kept the most recent one rather than delete them all
