Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Your company will source one for you?

    If I was spending that kinda money I'd probably go for a Ribble Sportive, with Campagnolo Veloce & Khasmin or Fulcrum 7 wheels.

    (I'm buying at the moment and I want one of these but Ribble won't deal with the Irish bike to work scheme for some strange reason)

    They have a Shimano 105 one in or around the same price too.

    They've a nice bikebuilder feature on their website you can pick and choose what you want on the bike.

    Ribble aren't supposed to be great to deal with but if your company is dealing with them then that'll take the messing out of your hands.

    No doubt Planet X will be recommended here, they're not as competitive as they were, and they wont have their SL Pro framed bike again until September.

    Wiggle have a good sale on, you'd get a Focus Cayo 105 for a grand.

    @deniss

    You want a road bike. What for? I know you're only getting into it, but is it for fitness, possibly racing, light touring, loaded touring, sportifs, audaxing?

    Some of the different types of cycling will require a different type of bike to the Boardman.

    Just curious.......

    @happygoose Halfords will source the bike for me, I haven't talked to them about buying separate parts as opposed to as built, but I can't see it being a big problem. I'll look into it, thanks for the advice.

    @Golfantic/mike12 thanks for the reply I think I'll see if I can take the CB out for a test ride before I buy anything

    @Dualfrontbrakes I would be mostly interested in the fitness end, high intensity, I'd consider myself pretty fit at the moment, possibly doing some touring.

    Thanks for speedy replies
