To put in such a fight and come short would leave anybody disheartened. But to enter the ring to a chorus of jeers and boos, and leave with the crowd cheering your name is one hell of a consolation prize.

Great performance from Chael, a little tainted by the bs he tried to pull at the end pretending he didn't tap.

Wow.

I wanted Silva to win, but as soon as Chael took him down in the 5th I had conceded defeat for Silva. How he came out with that triangle I do not know, incredible. He did tap. How did Silva survive? Absolute domination from Sonnen but he couldnt put Silva away.

What a fight, what a card. Loved it.

he hardly got his trap shut, he was 4 or 5 points up against Anderson Silva in the fifth round of a championship fight and nearly got out of the triangle in the end. Anderson just has the experience to pull it out from nowhere but everything Chael said he'd do he did minus the win and he went beyond ALL expectations of his performance.

Feel bad for Sonnen he totally controlled the fight but in fairness he looked like he didn't hurt Silva at all. In fact Silva looked like he did more damage from his back.

Had a nice 4fold with Davis, Dos Santos, Fitch, and Silva.

I can explain what happened if you want

Silva caught Sonnen in a triangle with 2 mins left. Sonnen couldnt escape and tapped. Ref stepped in but Chael (kinda) continued to fight.

He definately tapped though.

Sonnen was on the road to winning the fight but, Silva got a sneaky triangle and ended it. It didn't look like Sonnen tapped but the replay show it that he had.

At least we know Silva can be beaten. I'm sure all the MW wrestlers at dying for a crack against him now.
