I know this is OT and all, but i scored Penn v Edgar 48-47 to BJ

(maybe that's why the NSAC aren't ringing me up to step in for Cecil though)

    I had it 48-47 Edgar

I think everyone knew in the back of their mind that silva would pull something off..

I don't think Silva will want a rematch for at least 6 months, so he can work on his ground game...Sorry I mean acquire any sort of a ground game :P

Not me, I thought he could but wouldn't be up for it. It's really annoying to see him lose though. Winning all 5 rounds and then all that effort goes up in smoke within 5 seconds.

MMA is a bastard like that!

I couldn't stop myself from laughing when Silva put on the Gi with his "Happy Meal" Blackbelt at the end.

Fair enough he caught Sonnen in a choke but he never once in the first four rounds controlled where the fight was going on the ground.

Beautiful turnover by Sonnen in the 4th.

    Immediate Rematch!!!

He won by triangle...... seems he already has a ground game!

Although he DID get his Black Belt with a Happy Meal :P

Chael made this a really anticipated fight.

A rematch will seriously be one of the most anticipated fights in history.

Not only will everyone who watched tonight be dying for it, but Chael actually has a TON of ammo for his mouth now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

    Not confirmed for rematch yet.

I'm not sure what i'd like to see

Anderson would never make weight for his fights if they had supermacs in Brazil seen as he eats 2 Big macs the night before weigh ins (or something like that). If he discovered the "superior" mighty Mac meal we'd see a more Big Country looking Silva!

Really?? I thought 115 & 116 were far better then tonight! Don't get me wrong, it was good but not great! We've been spoiled since the disaster that was UFC 112, they've got the finger out & put together some class cards since then!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,258 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

    Dana and Thiago texting

Thiago: "Sorry Dana, i'll be back"

Dana: "Yeah, at 185 you will!"

Yeah, 116 was better. My favourite of all time.

I'd rate tonight higher than 115 though.

Dude, 116 would've made your head explode (figuratively)

Then the thread on UFC116 here and the arguments in it would've made your head explode (literally)

    Chael has arrived!

    Holy sh1t, he's so disappointed/angry at himself :(

Edit: YES! Back to his best again! :D

Edit again: Hmm,, he's already used that line :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

My feed gave out just as the lads walked in!

Chael is awesome! "Fighting Anderson is like eating Chinese food... 20 minutes after you do it, you wanna do it again"

    :pac:

Also, Chael looks the more beat up guy. Madness!

I must be the only person who loved seen Chuck Liddell KTFO then!!
I dunno why, but I was just disappointed with the main event, I wanted Silva to win before the fight & he really showed he deserves to be champ, it was just such a weird fight! I think I had too much expectations of a striking clinic from Silva after the Leites & Maia fights! Was even more shocked at his Bjj in the 1st couple of rounds! He didnt move his hips or do anything off his back till the 3rd! IMO the 1st 2 rounds were 10-8's Sonnen, I dont think he attempted a sweep or hip escape till the 4th! Will have to watch again!
